Inner city kids live in a world unlike what most of us have ever experienced or imaged. A majority of kids have never been out of their neighborhoods. Many have parents who are in jail or living in drug treatment centers. Crime, violence, sex, drugs, and gangs are what these kids are expose to every day. When the green shirts come around these kids, they know that for a few hours they will have peace, a full belly, someone to talk to and have fun. Bringing light into their worlds for just a few hours may be the only time they ever see in their darkness.
